PhD Cipriano (Pano) Santos / CEO Founder
Dr. Santos is an experienced Mathematical Optimization Technologist with a demonstrated history of technical and organizational leadership. He was the Lead Scientist in mathematical optimization and machine learning at Gurobi Optimization and is a senior technical advisor to the Recruitology machine learning team. Professor Cipriano retired from Hewlett-Packard Laboratories as a Distinguished Technologist. Professor Cipriano has authored 19 refereed research publications on Supply Chain Management, Computing Infrastructure Management, Storage Management, and Workforce Planning. He was an associate editor of the Journal of Heuristics. Dr. Santos has more than 30 patent applications filed, with 18 patents awarded. Professor Cipriano has been the co-advisor of four graduated PhD students, and one graduated master’s student. In 2004, he got the National award for outstanding achievement. Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Conference: HENAAC; and in 2005, he was Nominated among the top 50 Hispanics in the U.S by HITEC -Hispanic IT Executive Council.
PhD Andres Tellez / Artificial Intelligence Leader (AI)
Dr. Téllez is a mathematician with a background in machine learning, computation, estimation theory, and time series analysis applied to finance. He completed his Master’s degree at CINVESTAV México, where he specialized in Graph Theory applied to voxels, and his Ph.D. at the same institution, researching Time Series stability. He has worked in the industry as a data scientist, developing prediction models for financial time series and applying machine learning to natural language processing. Currently, he had a postdoctoral research position at Tec de Monterrey Campus Guadalajara.
PhD Hector Garcia de Alba / Mathematical Optimization Leader (Optimization)
Hector is Mathematical Optimization technologist, with a career as an academic and in the industries. He has a Doctoral education focused on Mathematical optimization applied to Scheduling problems .He has been professor at various universities for more than 5 years, teaching Optimization related topics. He has worked in supply chain management and manufacturing related jobs in industries such as Hershey’s, Wordmark, among others, accounting for more than 7 years of experiences, and has participated in consulting Groups giving service in Optimization relate topics to companies such as Technicolor.
MSc Francisco Andrade / Project Manager (Smart User)
Francisco Andrade is passionate about establishing, enabling and supporting innovation ecosystems, bringing science and technological advances closer to companies and organizations, to find innovative solutions that positively benefit society. He has 25 years of valuable experience related mainly to initiatives focused on the integration of emerging technologies to support business processes, shaping of work teams for the creation of new technologies, as well as the development of talent in the areas of applied mathematics and computer Sciences. He holds a master’s degree in IT management and is an Information Systems Engineer from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
MSc Carlos A. López / Education Expert Guest
Carlos A. López González is a mathematician, educator, and researcher based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is the co-founder of TEA (Technology Educator Alliance), an international network that promotes the pedagogical use of artificial intelligence through academic publications, conferences, and a writing lab that supports authors from around the world. He has led teacher training and professional development initiatives in Latin America and the U.S., integrating technology and education in a critical and creative way.
